Mbuwul Godwill is a researcher in peace, conflict, and political development, with a focus on the intersection of state fragility, citizen resilience, and democratic governance in Africa. His research explores how informal systems—particularly those led by women and grassroots actors—sustain community resilience in contexts where formal institutions are weak or absent. He is especially interested in the evolving legitimacy of governance models across the continent and how local agency can shape more inclusive, responsive systems.
