Portia Sizalobuhle Ndlovu

Research Assistant

Portia Sizalobuhle Ndlovu is a dedicated social science researcher and currently serves as a Temporary Lecturer at North-West University, where she teaches Issues in South African Politics. She is also a Voluntary Research Assistant at Conflict Lab, contributing to critical policy and governance projects across the African continent.

Portia holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights, Peace, and Development from Africa University (2022), focusing on digital rights and freedom of expression, and a BSc in Politics and Public Management from Midlands State University (2019), analysing student activism and is presently pursuing a PhD in Social Science with a focus on civil society under Zimbabwe’s Second Republic. Her work bridges academic inquiry with applied research, centering on democracy, human rights, peace, conflict, and political reform. She brings experience from both academic and NGO sectors, including contributions to policy reviews, data analysis, and multi-country research initiatives.
